Beware of scammers impersonating Fidelity
Scammers are contacting people in a variety of ways, including fake online adverts, web links, social media channels, messaging apps and phone calls. They may claim to represent Fidelity or impersonate our employees, including members of our Wealth Management team.
They use a range of tactics, including fake investment opportunities (some falsely claiming endorsement from Fidelity employees), cryptocurrency investments and promises to help recover money lost to investment scams.
Scammers may ask you to complete forms, provide ID documents or transfer money. In some cases, they might also try to get access to your Fidelity account by asking for one-time passcodes or login details - something Fidelity would never do.
It's crucial to stay vigilant and report anything like this directly to our customer services team on 0800 358 7712.
