Staying secure

When it comes to guarding your financial safety online, in person or on the phone, knowledge is your best defence. Here, you can learn about the common threats to your financial security, discover what we’re doing to keep you safe and find out where to get help if you need it.

Beware of scammers impersonating Fidelity

Scammers are making unsolicited contact with individuals, using a variety of methods, including social media channels and messaging apps, falsely claiming they represent Fidelity or impersonating legitimate Fidelity employees.

They are adopting a range of deceptive tactics, including fraudulent investment opportunities (some falsely claiming endorsement from Fidelity employees), cryptocurrency investments, and promises to assist in recovering losses from investment frauds. In some cases, scammers may request one-time passcodes or login details for a Fidelity account, a practice that Fidelity would never engage in.

Any communication of this nature is fraudulent. It is crucial to remain vigilant and report such instances directly to Fidelity through our customer services team at 0800 358 7712.
