Deltic Energy achieves 'Carbon Neutral Business' status

(Sharecast News) - Deltic Energy announced its status as a 'Carbon Neutral Business' on Wednesday, as certified by Carbon Neutral Britain. The AIM-traded firm said the certification process involved a comprehensive assessment of its emissions in the scope one, two and three categories for the 12 months ended on 31 October.

It said Carbon Neutral Britain reviewed and verified the data, confirming that Deltic Energy offset 100% of its corporate emissions through certified carbon offsetting projects.

"Deltic takes its obligations to the environment and the North Sea Transition Deal seriously, and this independent audit of our corporate greenhouse gas emissions footprint and Carbon Neutral Certification is an important step in that process," said chief executive officer Graham Swindells.

"We've chosen to offset our emissions through Carbon Neutral Britain's Climate Fund, which supports a range of global projects which have benefits above and beyond simple carbon offsetting.

"We will continue to monitor and, where possible, look to reduce our corporate footprint as we continue to move the business forward."

At 1329 GMT, shares in Deltic Energy were up 1.57% at 25.14p.
