Arkle Resources completes Inishowen drilling

(Sharecast News) - Arkle Resources announced the completion of drilling at the Inishowen, County Donegal gold prospect on Wednesday. The AIM-traded company said the extracted core samples were dispatched for analysis, with results expected by the end of January.

It said the drilling initiative aimed to evaluate the primary gold-bearing outcrop and had yielded promising outcomes.

All four drill holes identified structures containing veins, indicating a positive outlook for the prospect.

Subsequent drilling operations had been approved, subject to the results from the initial phase.

"It is gratifying to resume exploration activities at Inishowen," said chairman John Teeling.

"The positive results from this drilling campaign have allowed us to trace the main vein along strike and at depth and we are now positioned to expand our understanding of the geological potential in this region."

At 1205 GMT, shares in Arkle Resources were up 2.1% at 0.49p.
