Week ahead: UK employment, US CPI in focus
(Sharecast News) - Investors' attention over the coming week will be split between a raft of economic data due out in the UK and U.S.. On home shores, on Tuesday the Office for National Statistics will release its employment report for the month of January.
It will be followed the next day by gross domestic product figures for the same month.
The market spotlight in the States will be on the consumer price report for February, which may ease concerns around the inflation picture.
Thursday meanwhile will be on readings for wholesale prices and retail sales, also in February.
Closing out the week, on Friday the University of Michigan will publish the preliminary results of its consumer confidence survey for March.
