FTSE 250 movers: Mitie, Johnson Matthey retreat

(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 250 was down 0.2% at 18,444.86 in quiet afternoon trade on Friday. Mitie was on the back foot, having gained on Thursday after backing its recently-lifted full-year guidance as it hailed a "good" first-half performance, with profits and revenue higher.

Johnson Matthey was also weaker, having rallied earlier in the week after it raised the outlook for its full-year underlying operating performance despite posting a drop in first-half sales and profit due to lower precious metal market prices.
