Thursday preview: US retail sales, Vistry in the spotlight
(Sharecast News) - Financial markets' focus on Thursday will be on a trio of closely-followed economic reports in the States. Key amongst those will be the February report for retail sales, which will help ascertain how consumption is holding up.
Similarly important figures for producer prices and weekly unemployment claims will be published alongside.
Worth noting, there were components of the producer price data that fed into official estimates of the core price deflator for personal consumption expenditures, the Fed's preferred inflation gauge.
On home shores, overnight the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors will publish its Housing Price Balance for February, also covering February.
Vistry is among the corporate names that is due to update investors on Thursday.
The homebuilder is expected to report a roughly 36.5% jump in full-year revenues, including joint-ventures, to reach £3.99bn.
Earnings before interest and tax meanwhile are seen by the consensus falling 2.2% to £441m on an EBIT margin of 11.0%.
