Director dealings: Time Finance non-exec invests, Liontrust directors exercise options
(Sharecast News) - Time Finance was among those on the list of director buys on Tuesday, after it disclosed a purchase made by a non-executive director. The AIM-traded specialist finance provider said Ron Russell bought 100,000 of its shares on 10 July, in a single transaction on the London Stock Exchange.
Russell paid 26p for each share, valuing the investment at £26,000.
"As a result of this purchase of ordinary shares, Ron Russell is now interested in an aggregate of 11,422,788 ordinary shares, representing 12.3% of the company's issued ordinary share capital," the board said in its disclosure.
Elsewhere, Liontrust Asset Management reported that two of its executives had exercised options over shares, and subsequently sold a number of them to cover the arising tax bills.
The company said chief executive John Ions acquired 23,027 shares at nil cost as part of the exercise, and sold 10,861 for 649p each.
Chief financial and operating officer Vinay Abrol, meanwhile, added 15,174 shares to their holding at nil cost as part of the exercise, and sold 7,157 of them for 649p apiece as well.
At the close on Tuesday, shares in Liontrust Asset Management were up 1.3% at 663p, while those in Time Finance were 2.67% weaker at 25.5p.
