Director dealings: Melrose directors invest after better-than-expected results
(Sharecast News) - Melrose Industries found itself with several entries on the list of buyers on Thursday, disclosing four purchases made by its chairman and three non-executive directors. The transactions were all on the London Stock Exchange on Thursday - the same day the FTSE 250 engineering giant reported results ahead of expectations, and raised its dividend.
It said its non-executive chairman Justin Dowley bought 75,000 shares at a price of 132.26p each, spending a total of £99,195.
Following that, he had an interest in 1,499,480 of its shares, representing 0.03429% of its issued share capital.
Non-executive director Liz Hewitt bought 37,000 shares for 136.51p each, spending £50,508.70, meaning she now had an interest in 227,239 shares, or 0.0052% of Melrose's issued share capital.
David Lis, another non-executive director, bought 35,000 shares at a price of 133.25p each, spending £46,637.50.
As a result, Lis now had an interest in 448,052 Melrose shares, or 0.01025% of its issued capital.
Finally, non-executive director Victoria Jarman bought 20,000 shares for 134.34p each, making for a total transaction value of £26,868.
Following that, Melrose said Jarman held an interest in 33,500 shares, representing just 0.00077% of its issued share capital.
