Director dealings: M&C Saatchi chair invests, Staffline director linked to transactions
(Sharecast News) - M&C Saatchi was on the list of director buys on Monday after its executive chair bought 70,000 shares in two separate transactions. The firm said Zillah Byng-Thorne purchased 50,000 shares on 14 September for 125p each.
Byng-Thorne then purchased an additional 20,000 shares on 15 September at an average price of 133.88p.
That made for a total spend of £89,279.13 on the 70,000 shares.
M&C Saatchi said that due to the transactions, Byng-Thorne's beneficial interest in the company now amounted to 213,536 shares, representing 0.17% of its issued share capital.
On the selling side of the ledger was recruitment and training provider Staffline, after Henry Spain Investment Services - a 'person closely associated' with non-executive director and interim chairman Thomas Spain, sold 23,672 shares for 28.5p each on 13 September.
It then repurchased 23,672 shares at 28.575p apiece due to adjustments in individual client portfolios.
On 15 September, Henry Spain Investment Services purchased a further 170,000 shares, the company disclosed, at 28.95p per share.
At the close on Monday, shares in M&C Saatchi were down 1.08% at 137p, while those in Staffline Group were up 1.76% at 28.95p.
