Director dealings: Lloyds chair buys 0.5m shares, Meggitt directors cover tax bills with sales
(Sharecast News) - Lloyds Banking Group was at the top of the list of director buys on Tuesday, after its chair bought half a million of its shares. The FTSE 100 bank said Robin Budenberg purchased 500,000 of its shares on the London Stock Exchange on Monday.
It said he paid 47.4p for each of the shares, spending £236,999.50 in the process.
Aerospace and defence technology giant Meggitt, meanwhile, featured on the selling side of the ledger, after it disclosed the vesting of incentive plan shares to nine directors.
The FTSE 100 company said its chief financial officer Louisa Burdett was awarded 18,463 shares under its 2020 share incentive and retention plan, which automatically vested on Monday.
Of those, 8,695 shares were sold to cover her taxes and costs, at a price of 754.74p, valuing the sale at £65,624.654.
As a result of the transactions, Burdett's total shareholding now stood at 18,396 shares, or 0.0024% of Meggitt's issued capital.
