Director dealings: IQGeo director linked to purchase, BHP CEO covers tax bill

(Sharecast News) - IQGeo Group was on the list of director buys on Tuesday, after it received notification on 26 August from Kestrel Partners that, on 25 August, it purchased on behalf of its discretionary clients an aggregate of 59,950 ordinary shares at an average price of 298p per share. The company noted that director Max Royde is a partner of, and holds a beneficial interest in, Kestrel.

It said Royde is also a shareholder in Kestrel Opportunities, and was thus deemed to have a beneficial interest in Kestrel Opportunities' entire legal holding in IQGeo.

Following the transaction, IQGeo said Kestrel Opportunities held, and thus Max Royde was deemed to have a beneficial interest in, 11,726,984 of its shares.

Other clients of Kestrel, in which Royde had no beneficial interest, meanwhile held 4,829,342 shares in the company.

On a combined basis, Kestrel indirectly held voting rights over 16,556,326 shares in IQGeo, representing 26.8% of its issued share capital.

Over on the list of director sales, meanwhile, was BHP Group, after its chief executive officer Mike Henry acquired 193,189 shares at nil cost, following the vesting of share awards under its long-term incentive plan.

Henry also acquired 55,246 shares following the vesting of share awards under the cash and deferred plan.

Following those acquisitions, Henry sold 120,892 of his shares in BHP Group on the Australia Securities Exchange, in order to meet expected tax obligations.

The CEO sold the shares for AUD 42.9516 apiece.

At the close on Tuesday, shares in IQGeo Group were flat at 299p, while those in BHP Group were up 3% at 2,251.5p.
