Moving money from your investment account to your ISA means selling funds and then investing inside an ISA—you just need to complete a Bed and ISA application.
Please note you’ll be out of the market for up to three business days, but there are no capital gains tax (CGT) implications when transferring your ISA.
You can also move money from your investment accounts to your pension by selling from your investment account and investing separately into your SIPP.
To withdraw money from your account, log in online and select ‘Manage Investments’, then ‘Withdraw cash.’
Once you’ve selected which account you’d like to withdraw cash from, simply enter the amount and your bank account, then select ‘Next.’
Please remember, however, if you hold a SIPP, you won’t be able to make any withdrawals until you’re 55 years old.
For Junior SIPPs, please call us on 0800 358 7480.
Before you close your account, make sure that it’s the right move for you.
