Director dealings: Made Tech CEO invests, AB Foods finance director pays tax bill
(Sharecast News) - Made Tech Group was on the list of director buys on Wednesday, after its chief executive officer purchased almost 900,000 shares. The company said Rory MacDonald picked up 897,507 shares on 4 July, at an average price of 17.14p each.
Following the purchase, it said he had a total beneficial interest in 42,594,172 shares, representing 28.53% of its issued share capital.
"Further to the company's announcement on 23 February, Rory MacDonald and his concert party are permitted to acquire ordinary shares in the company such that the concert party's fully-diluted shareholding does not exceed 43.04% of the company's issued share capital, as agreed with the Takeover Panel," the board explained in its disclosure.
"Following the above purchase, the concert party's fully-diluted shareholding in the company is 63,935,033 ordinary shares, equivalent to 42.83%."
Elsewhere, Associated British Foods disclosed a series of transactions involving its finance director made on 3 July.
The owner of the Primark chain said Eoin Tonge first received a transfer of 27,459 shares connected with the buyout of a forfeited incentive scheme award granted by his former employer, Marks & Spencer.
In addition, Tonge received a transfer on the same day of 68,751 shares related to the vesting of awards granted to him on 3 March.
Finally, on 3 July as well, Tonge sold 43,355 shares at a price of 2,006.7p each, in order to meet his tax liabilities for the two earlier transfers.
At the close on Wednesday, shares in Associated British Foods were down 0.55% at 2,006p, while those in Made Tech Group were 5.88% firmer at 18p.
