Director dealings: Gupta family makes OPG sale-and-purchase, Kerry director sells awards

(Sharecast News) - OPG Power Ventures was at the top of the list of buyers on Friday, after it disclosed a £0.6m sale-and-purchase made by the Gupta family, of which its chairman Arvind Gupta is a member. The AIM-traded developer of power projects in India said three companies controlled by the family sold 8,903,617 shares at 6.5p each, netting them a total of £600,994.17.

At the same time, another company controlled by the family purchased 8,903,617 shares at 6.75p each.

As a result of the transactions, the Gupta family's shareholding in OPG was unchanged at 206,432,166 shares, or 51.51% of its total issued share capital.

On the selling side of things was food company Kerry Group, which disclosed a sale worth more than a quarter-of-a-million euros.

The London-listed company said executive director Gerry Behan had sold 2,602 shares for €96.02 each, valuing the transaction at a total of €250,468.53 (£209,819.06).

It said the sale was made on the back of a vesting of shares under its short- and long-term incentive plans, which saw Behan collecting 10,403 shares in the company.
