Director dealings: Centamin board members buy in, Greggs finance director covers tax bill

(Sharecast News) - Centamin took the top three spots on the list of director buys on Monday, after three of its board members made purchases in the market. The FTSE 250 company said chief executive officer Martin Horgan bought 65,788 shares for 83.5p each, spending a total of £54,932.98, while chief financial officer Ross Jerrard spend 82.5p for each of 67,000 shares, valuing that purchase at £55,275.00.

Non-executive director Mark Bankes, meanwhile, bought 30,000 shares for 83.6p each, for a total transaction value of £25,080.00.

After the transactions, Centamin said Horgan held a total of 107,193 of its shares, while Jerrard had 567,000 and Bankes owned 319,000.

On the selling side of things was Greggs, whose finance director sold almost £90k of shares to cover his tax bill after exercising a performance share option.

The FTSE 250 high street pastry pusher said Richard Sutton offloaded 4,061 shares for 2,166.19p each, netting a total of £87,968.94.

It came after Hutton acquired 8,336 shares by exercising nil-cost options granted under the firm's performance share plan.
