Thursday preview: US producer prices, Halma in focus
(Sharecast News) - Investor focus on Thursday will be on the release of the latest wholesale inflation data in the States. At 1230 BST the Department of Labor will release a reading for producer prices covering the month of February.
Also due out are weekly US unemployment claims figures.
On home shores, overnight the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors will release its House Price Balance for February.
In the corporate space, Halma will publish a trading update for the fourth quarter.
UBS analyst Andre Kukhnin said that updates on its AVO Photonics unit, which accounted for 14% of the group, and on acquisitions would be key.
Overall, he was anticipating a "solid" update with changes to guidance for "good organic growth" and an adjusted EBIT margin of around 21% considered to be unlikely.
