Informa adds Art Monte-Carlo to Prestige portfolio

(Sharecast News) - Informa announced the addition of Art Monte-Carlo, a contemporary art fair on the Côte d'Azur, to its Informa Prestige portfolio on Monday, as part of its longstanding partnership with the Principality of Monaco. The FTSE 100 events and business information specialist said the acquisition, announced on the opening day of the 2025 edition of Art Monte-Carlo, strengthened its position as the largest owner and operator of live events in Monaco.

It also broadened Informa Prestige, a division within Informa Markets focused on luxury and lifestyle brands, to include another high-profile event in the international art calendar.

"Informa Prestige has been built around exceptional brands that create unique opportunities and experiences in the Luxury market," said Toby Moore, chief executive officer of Informa Prestige.

"Art Monte-Carlo has earned its reputation for delivering exactly that here in Monaco, the home of luxury, and so is a perfect addition to the Prestige portfolio."

Founded in 2016, Art Monte-Carlo features 25 modern and contemporary galleries alongside curated projects and publishers.

Its existing team would continue to lead the event, now with the backing of Informa's global infrastructure and expertise.

Art Monte-Carlo was joining a roster of more than 15 luxury brands in Informa's Monaco portfolio, including the Monaco Yacht Show, Top Marques Monaco and luxury lifestyle publisher BOAT International.

The event would also benefit from Informa's international reach in related sectors including yachting, aviation, jewellery, and automotive.

As part of the announcement, John Paton, executive chair of BOAT International, was appointed executive chair of Informa Prestige.

At 1158 BST, shares in Informa were up 0.87% at 814.8p.
