Great Portland Estates CFO jumps ship to Savills

(Sharecast News) - Great Portland Estates has announced that its chief financial and operating officer has jumped ship to join estate agents Savills after 14 years with the London property group. Nick Sanderson has decided to leave to take up the CFO position at Savills, but will remain at GPE to support an orderly transition, the company said.

GPE's board has now started a process to appoint a successor.

"During his 14 years at GPE, Nick has been a highly regarded leader and partner," said chief executive Toby Courtauld.

"He has played a key role in maintaining strong financial discipline across the business while overseeing the delivery of a wide range of operational matters, and more recently the growth of our Fully Managed activities."

Sanderson will be stepping into the shoes of Savills' Simon Shaw, who is becoming the company's chief executive from January when the current CEO Mark Ridley retires.
