Cooks Coffee reports solid growth at Esquires chain as expansion continues

(Sharecast News) - Cooks Coffee, the New Zealand-based coffee company, reported on Thursday that its Esquires franchise network in the UK and Ireland saw full-year sales growth of 22.8% after a solid end to the year. Sales from UK and Ireland operations totalled £43.1m over the 12 months to 31 March, up from £35.1m the year before, helped by the addition of 18 new stores during the period, taking the store network to 118.

Fourth-quarter sales in the UK, where it now operates 82 stores, rose by 17.5% to £7.8m, slightly lower than the 18.3% growth seen in the third quarter.

However, sales momentum slowed in Ireland, where it has 23 stores, with revenues rising 17.8% at £3.4m, compared with the 27.0% annual rate seen in the preceding three months.

"We are pleased to report a strong finish to FY26, with double-digit growth delivered in both the fourth quarter and full year," said Cooks Coffee chief executive Aiden Keegan.

"Performance across the UK and Ireland highlights the strength of the Esquires brand and the dedication of our franchise partners. We remain focused on expanding our footprint and are encouraged by the group's momentum heading into FY27."
