A flexible way to invest, with no limits on how much you can put in or take out.
Important information - investment values can go down as well as up, so you may get back less than you invest. This is not a personal recommendation for a specific investment. If you're not sure which investments are suitable for you, consult Fidelity’s advisers or another authorised financial adviser.
- You can invest in a wide range of options including funds, shares, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and investment trusts (ITs)
- It doesn't offer tax advantages, so income, dividends and capital gains may be taxable
- There’s no annual limit on how much you can invest, giving you full flexibility
- You can withdraw your money at any time, with no age limits or access restrictions
- An investment account can be held in a single name or jointly
- No service fee for exchange-traded instruments (ETIs) i.e. shares, ETFs and investment trusts held in our Investment Account

^0.35% service fee is applied if you have a regular savings plan or have more than £25,000 invested in total across your Personal Investing accounts with Fidelity. Otherwise, a £7.50 per month service fee applies. 0.2% service fee applies if you have over £250,000 of investments in total across your Personal Investing accounts with Fidelity. The value of exchange-traded instruments (ETIs) is included in this total, but ETIs are not charged a service fee. There will also be investment charges set by the companies and funds you’re investing into which sit outside of our service and dealing fees.

Our Investment Account charges summary
Our service fee
We don't charge a service fee on the value of any shares, ETFs and investment trusts held in an Investment Account.
A service fee is applied to mutual funds you hold in the account.
Annual service fee if your investments in Personal Investing accounts with Fidelity total:
- Less than £25,000 – 0.35% if you have a regular savings plan, or £90 (£7.50 a month) if you don’t
- £25,000 or more but less than £250,000 – 0.35%
- £250,000 or more but less than £1 million – 0.2%
- £1 million+ – 0.2% a year for the first £1 million and no service fee for investments over £1 million (maximum service fee across your personal accounts is £2,000 per year)
There will also be investment charges set by the companies and funds you’re investing into, which sit outside our service and dealing fees.
Our share dealing charges
There is a charge made for each buy and sell transaction you place (including switches and dividend reinvestments). This will be deducted from the amount invested or raised through a sale.
- £7.50 – simple charge for each deal placed online
- £1.50 – for deals as part of a regular savings or withdrawal plan, or for a reinvestment of income or a dividend
- £30 – for each deal made by phone
Stamp Duty can apply to shares. Levies, taxes and foreign exchange charges may also apply to certain transactions. See our Charges in detail page for a full breakdown of our fees and charges.
