Fidelity's fund choices

Helping you stay invested during retirement.

If you're keeping your pension savings invested during retirement, you may want some help with selecting your investments. Our investment experts have put together a list of potential options for you to consider.

If you would like to leave the day-to-day management of your portfolio to investment experts, you may want to consider one of our Multi Asset funds, which allows each fund manager to adjust the mix of investments according to market conditions. Or, you may wish to review a selection of income-focussed funds that our experts have picked from the Select 50 funds.

Of course, if you would prefer to pick your own funds you can browse all the funds on our Select 50 or the full range of funds available on our fund supermarket.

The value of investments and the income from them can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invested. Eligibility to invest into a pension depends on personal circumstances and all tax rules may change. With pension products you will not be able to withdraw money until you reach age 55.

Multi Asset Income funds

Tom StevensonTom Stevenson, Investment Director at Fidelity Personal Investing, explains our Multi asset range: “If you want a fund that's designed to pay an attractive and sustainable income, one of our Multi Asset Income funds could be right for you.

“Each fund invests in a range of other funds, with the manager able to adjust the asset mix, including bonds, equities and cash, to take advantage of changing market conditions, while managing risk. Each of the three highly diversified funds looks to deliver a target income of 4-6%, although this is not guaranteed. The potential to preserve or grow your underlying investment at the same time depends on your choice of the three funds and your attitude to risk."

To use these funds for pension drawdown please call our retirement specialists on 0800 368 6882.

Select 50 funds

Claire DwyerFidelity's Claire Dwyer explains the Select 50 and suggests some funds for you to consider: “Our Select 50 list of funds contains our experts’ favourite picks from over 2,000 funds available on our fund supermarket. Members of our research team have chosen their favourite funds based not only on the quantitative, number-crunching analysis but also by meeting the fund managers, understanding how they think and behave and how this could affect a given fund's future performance.

“The following funds have been chosen from the Select 50 for their focus on generating an income. This could be particularly useful if you are looking to keep your pension invested during retirement. Of course everyone’s needs are different so it’s important to bear in mind that the Select 50 is not advice or a recommendation to buy funds. Equally, if a fund you own is not on the Select 50, we’re not recommending you sell it.”
