Director dealings: Canal+, Marlowe directors buy up shares

(Sharecast News) - Two significant director share transactions disclosed to the London market on Monday involved directors of French broadcasting giant Canal+, and business software and service specialist Marlowe. Canal+ reported that Jean-Christophe Thiery, a member of its supervisory board, acquired 68,330 shares in two transactions.

On 30 December, he purchased 32,500 shares at 192.1 pence each, for a total of £62,423.24.

The following day, 31 December, he acquired 35,830 shares in two tranches - 10,830 shares at 200.7p and 25,000 shares at 202.1p, amounting to £72,266.38.

Both transactions took place on the London Stock Exchange.

Marlowe meanwhile announced that Robert Flinn, chief executive officer of its fire division, and his spouse, Claire Flinn, jointly purchased 15,527 shares on 2 January, at an average price of 319.94p apiece.

That included 9,316 shares acquired by Robert Flinn at 319.9p, and 6,211 shares acquired by Claire Flinn at 320p.

The transactions, conducted on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, increased Robert Flinn's beneficial holding to 88,082 shares, representing 0.11% of Marlowe's issued share capital.

At 1412 GMT, shares in Canal+ were up 0.69% at 205.4p, while those in Marlowe were ahead 0.95% at 318p.
