Director dealings: Atalaya non-exec buys £0.15m worth of shares
(Sharecast News) - Shares in Atalaya Mining were in the red on Thursday afternoon, after it emerged that a non-executive director spent £0.15m on shares. The company said Jesus Fernandez bought 65,000 shares in an open market transaction on the London Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
Fernandez paid 226p for each share, valuing the purchase at £146,900.
Following the purchase, Atalaya said Fernandez had an interest in 65,000 of its shares in total, representing 0.046% of its current issued share capital.
Elsewhere, Lloyds Banking Group also disclosed a purchase made by a non-executive director, worth just over £65k.
The company said Scott Wheway bought 150,000 shares on the London Stock Exchange as well, also on Thursday.
Wheway paid 43.81p for each share, making the investment worth a total of £65,722.50.
Lloyds said the director purchased the shares into a self-invested personal pension, held in his name.
At 1500 BST, shares in Lloyds Banking Group were up 0.86% at 44.5p, while those in Atalaya Mining were down 1.36% at 221.45p.
