Andrew Oxlade
Head of Personal Finance & Markets Content
Andrew Oxlade is a Director at Fidelity International, specialising in investment, ISAs, funds, pensions and retirement. He writes a column on growing and protecting wealth for the Mail’s This is Money and formerly led The Telegraph’s personal finance coverage. He is a former FT journalist and a seasoned broadcaster with appearances spanning shows on BBC, ITV, Sky, Five and CNBC. He is a regular on Fidelity’s hugely popular YouTube show, Personal Investor.
Andrew has more of a decade of experience in the investment industry and has served as a trustee on the board of the International Longevity Centre, a specialised think tank, since January 2025.
In 2024 he developed a concept called CHILL - Career Happiness Inspires Longer Lives. It is an alternative to the FIRE (“Financial Independence, Retire Early”) movement. Instead of obsessively saving to retire as early as possible, CHILL argues for building a career and lifestyle that you enjoy enough to continue working longer in a healthy, flexible way - and with continued purpose.
Outside of work, Andrew is a fundraising outdoor swimmer who competed the 17km length of Windermere in 2025.
