Director dealings: DFS non-exec invests, Uniphar CEO sells down stake
(Sharecast News) - Director dealings at DFS Furniture and Uniphar were disclosed on Thursday, with share purchases reported at the UK sofa retailer and a sizable disposal recorded at the Irish healthcare services group. Sofa seller DFS said non-executive director Anthony Buffin acquired 2,898 shares at 156p, while his wife, Suzanne Buffin, bought 33,000 shares at 160p.
The transactions, completed on 12 November, came weeks after the Doncaster-based retailer reported a return to profit in its full-year results.
DFS posted a £32.9m pre-tax profit for the year ended 29 June, reversing a loss the prior year, as stronger order intake and market share gains at both its DFS and Sofology brands offset a weak consumer backdrop.
Despite improved cash generation, leverage remained above target and the board opted against recommending a dividend.
Uniphar meanwhile disclosed that chief executive Gerard Rabbette sold 100,000 shares at €3.80 on 11 November via the Ohana A Partnership, where he is managing partner.
Following the disposal, Rabbette retained an interest in 7.5 million shares.
