Director dealings: Blackbird, Sareum insiders pick up shares

(Sharecast News) - Blackbird found itself with a number of entries on the list of director buys on Wednesday, after a number of insiders and associates bought shares.

The cloud-based video editing technology company said chief executive officer Ian McDonough, his associate Syarifah Aidid, and its research and development director Stephen Streater all made purchases.

It said McDonough picked up 225,000 shares for 8.7p each, while Streater purchased 125,000 shares at 8.5p apiece.

Aidid purchased shares across four transactions, buying 62,389 for 7.995p each, 63,380 for 7.87p each, 56,754 for 8.7888p each, and 56,754 for 8.7888p each as well.

Blackbird said all of the transactions were made on 5 September.

"Following the above purchases, Ian McDonough and his wife, Syarifah Aidid, now have a total beneficial interest in 10,029,656 ordinary shares, equivalent to approximately 2.72% of the company's issued share capital, and Stephen Streater now has a total beneficial interest in 62,785,000 ordinary shares, equivalent to approximately 17.05% of the company's issued share capital," Blackbird said in its disclosure.

Elsewhere, biotechnology company Sareum Holdings disclosed that non-executive chairman Dr Stephen Parker had purchased 12,500 of its shares at an average price of 80p each, also on 5 September.

In addition, it said associates of Dr Parker were interested in a further 25,680 shares in the Company, over which he had voting rights discretion.

"Therefore, following the transaction, Dr Parker has direct and indirect interests in an aggregate 116,160 ordinary shares in the company, representing approximately 0.16% of the company's currently issued share capital," Sareum confirmed.

At the close on Wednesday, shares in Blackbird were up 5.88% at 9p, while those in Sareum Holdings were ahead 3.12% at 82.5p.
