FTSE 250 movers: Oxford Nanopore slides on CEO departure; Diversified Energy gains
(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 250 was down 0.3% at 21,892.44 in afternoon trade on Monday. Oxford Nanopore was under the cosh as it said chief executive officer Gordon Sanghera plans to step down after more than 20 years in the role.
Fintech company Plus500 tumbled even as it posted an uptick in first-half profit and revenue and said customer deposits more than doubled year-on-year.
Peel Hunt said in a research note that the interim results were in keeping with July's update, reporting a solid financial performance and good strategic progress.
However, it also noted the shares have performed well this year and said they "may now pause for breath before moving on, given the lack of upgrades at this point".
Going the other way, Diversified Energy shot to the top of the index after second-quarter results.
The company said adjusted EBITDA jumped 103% to $280m, while revenue was 73% higher at $510m. Production was ahead 33% in Q2.
