FTSE 250 movers: Morgan Sindall jumps; Hikma slides

(Sharecast News) - FTSE 250 (MCX) 25,087.11 0.69%

Hikma Pharmaceuticals slid as the drug maker trimmed revenue guidance for its injectables division, offsetting a more upbeat outlook for its branded business.

Morgan Sindall jumped as it said full-year 2026 results were set to be slightly ahead of its previous expectations as it announced the launch of a £75m share buyback.

Embattled housebuilder Vistry fell after it warned that market conditions remained tough, as it got a sweeping restructuring underway.

RS Group reported a rise in first-half profit and revenue on Thursday following outperformance in all of its regions.

In the six months to the end of September, adjusted operating profit grew 17% from the same period a year earlier to £142m, while adjusted pre-tax profit was 19% higher at £133m. Revenue rose 10% to £1.5bn.

Harbour Energy fell after a trading update and weaker oil price, while Ashmore tumbled as it traded without entitlement to the dividend.

Analysts at Berenberg raised their target price on Helios Towers to 310p from 295p on Thursday, citing another quarter of ahead-of-expectations operational performance, upgraded full-year guidance and stronger-than-expected initial forecasts for 2027.

Berenberg said Helios delivered a fresh beat on tenancy additions in the third quarter, adding 924 tenancies and taking the total to 35,379 - up 12.2% year-on-year and comfortably exceeding consensus forecasts.

The German bank noted that rising mobile penetration, rapid population growth and increasing data consumption across Helios' markets continued to drive demand for telecoms infrastructure. Record year-to-date tenancy additions of 3,435 were also expected to provide a meaningful boost to earnings in 2027 and beyond.

Berenberg highlighted improving profitability and cash generation, with return on invested capital increasing to 14.2% from 13.8% a year earlier, while net leverage stood at 3.4x, remaining within the group's medium-term target range and below levels typically seen at developed-market tower operators.
