Director dealings: Synthomer CFO raises stake

(Sharecast News) - Synthomer revealed on Tuesday that chief financial officer Lily Liu had purchased 20,000 ordinary shares in the FTSE 250-listed chemicals business. Liu, who took over as CFO in July 2022, purchased the shares on Monday at an average price of 205.0p each, for a total value of £41,000.

Back in September, Sytnhomer announced a £276.0m rights issue alongside a fall in first-half revenue and earnings. Synthomer said revenue from continuing operations was down 12.5% in the six months ended 30 June at £1.08bn, while EBITDA was down 55.8% at £72.0m.

As of 1530 BST, Synthomer shares were up 2.31% at 199.50p.
