(Sharecast News) - Science Group revealed on Monday that chairman Martyn Ratcliffe had acquired 10,000 ordinary shares in the AIM-listed science, engineering and technology firm.
Ratcliffe, who was appointed chairman of Science Group in April 2010, purchased the shares on Friday at an average price of 450.0p each, for a total value of £45,000.
Following the transaction, Ratcliffe holds a beneficial interest in 9.42m ordinary Science Group shares, representing approximately 20.73% of the company's issued share capital.
As of 1620 BST, Science Group shares were up 5.61% at 468.90p.
