Director dealings: On the Beach, Dr. Marten's execs pick up shares

(Sharecast News) - On the Beach was at the top of the list of director buys on Tuesday, after founder and chief executive officer Simon Copper picked up 1.53m shares in the company. Cooper snapped up 1,530.141 shares through Hawksford Trustees Jersey on 19 August, for 129.54p each.

The purchase, valued at £1,982,144.69, took his shareholding to just under 9.4 million, or 5.64%.

Elsewhere, Dr. Marten's chief executive Kenny Wilson and chief financial officer Jon Mortimore added to their shareholdings, buying shares under its bonus plan.

The firm said Wilson bought 55,867 shares and Mortimore picked up 26,936 shares, both at a price of 275.11p each.

That meant the CEO spent a total of £153,698.49, and the finance chief's purchase was valued at £74,104.97.

Under the Dr. Marten's remuneration policy, a third of any annual bonus payable to the executive directors, net of tax, is used to purchase shares which the directors would be required to hold for two years.

At the close on Tuesday, On the Beach Group was up 9.93% at 126.2p, while Dr. Marten's was down 4.27% at 237.8p.
