Director dealings: Mike Ashley settles 250k Frasers options, RS Group CEO invests

(Sharecast News) - Frasers Group found itself on both sides of the ledger on Wednesday, after Mike Ashley settled a quarter-million share put option transaction. The owner of the House of Fraser and Sports Direct nameplates said Ashley had sold put options over 250,000 shares at a strike price of 900p and an expiry of September, valuing that at £2.25m.

It said he exercised those put options, and settled them through the purchase of derivatives equivalent to 250,000 shares at a price of 901p apiece, valuing the buy at £2.252m.

Ashley also purchased further derivatives equivalent to 100,000 Frasers Group shares, for 717.65p each, spending £0.72m in that transaction.

Elsewhere, RS Group disclosed two purchases made by its chief executive officer, totalling 31,000 of its shares.

It said Simon Pryce first bought 29,000 shares for 803.55p each, for a total transaction value of £233,030.86.

In the second transaction, Pryce picked up a further 2,000 shares for 792.6p apiece, spending £15,851.93 in the process.

Both transactions took place on the London Stock Exchange on 23 May.

At 1307 BST, shares in Frasers Group were down 0.98% at 710p, while those in RS Group were off 0.5% at 789.2p.
