Director dealings: Mears CFO raises stake

(Sharecast News) - Mears Group revealed on Monday that chief financial officer Andrew Smith had acquired 12,010 ordinary shares in the London-listed housing and social care provider. Smith, who joined Mears in 1999, purchased the shares on Friday at an average price of 356.51p each, for a total value of £42,816.85.

Following the transaction, Smith holds an interest in 382,890 ordinary Mears shares, representing approximately 0.4% of the company's issued share capital.

As of 1610 BST, Mears shares were up 3.01% at 359.0p.
