As part of your employee benefits package, you can now book a one-to-one financial coaching session with Fidelity Personal Investing.

Your goals. Your money. Our financial coaches.

Want to feel more financially confident about your future? Our financial coaches can help. Whether you’ve got a particular goal in mind or just want to ensure you’re making the most of your money, our expert coaches will take the time to understand where you are now, and what you’d like to get out of your session.

  • Your coach will look at your current financial situation as a whole - including income, savings, debt and pensions.
  • They’ll talk about your goals, from saving for a house deposit to retiring early.
  • The latest technology will be used to show you real-time visualisations of how making changes can help you to achieve your goals.
  • At the end of the session, you’ll receive a personalised action plan to take away with you, giving you a clear view of your current situation and options you could consider.
  • You’ll be offered a follow-up appointment to check up on your progress.

FAQs

Your financial coaching session is part of your employee benefits package, so there is no additional cost for you to pay.

Absolutely. We will not share anything you discuss in your appointment with your employer.

With paid-for financial advice, an adviser looks at your personal situation and gives you a clear recommendation on what they believe you should do. They can set everything up if you want them to. With financial coaching (your employee benefit), your coach will work with you to explore your situation and help you understand the steps you could take. You then decide what to do and you can choose how and when you do it.

No, you don’t. Our sessions are suitable for people with all levels of financial knowledge, and your coach will explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand.

There isn’t a minimum amount you need to benefit from our coaching. If you have savings and investments, we can look at ways to help you use them better. But if you don’t, we can still explore your options for improving your long-term financial wellbeing.

While we are not tax advisers, we can give guidance to potentially improve the tax efficiency of your finances and avoid common pitfalls. For more complex tax planning we can also refer you to our trusted partners (please note, this is a paid-for service).

Yes, we can. The software our team uses allows us to explore your retirement in detail, from when you might want to stop working, to how much income you may need in later life. We use visuals to show different options and their potential impact, helping you understand your choices more clearly.

Your personalised action plan document will be made available to you on PlanViewer after your appointment. It will detail your financial action plan based on your current situation and future goals, as well as provide illustrations including projected cash flow and net worth.

Ahead of your call, it would be helpful if you have an approximate idea of the value of any cash savings accounts and any debt you may hold (individually or jointly), as well as the approximate value of any investment accounts, including pensions and ISAs. It would also be useful to understand whether you have any specific financial goals in mind, your time horizon, your knowledge and experience of investing, and how actively involved you would like to be in selecting and managing your investments.
