Our Global Women and Money Study

Important information - the value of investments can go down as well as up so you may get back less than you invest. This information is not a personal recommendation for any particular investment. If you are unsure about the suitability of an investment you should speak to an authorised financial adviser. Investors should note that the views expressed may no longer be current and may have already been acted upon.

Our latest study

Here we look at the experiences and views of women from the UK, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China, to understand and address the financial challenges they face. From how they manage their money and their attitudes towards investing, to the glaring gender pension gap and the impact the pandemic has had on their financial well-being.

While many of the challenges and experiences are universal, the UK findings show that women typically live four years longer than men but have 51% less in retirement savings. And just over two-fifths of UK women currently make active decisions about where to invest.
