Investment objective
The Fund will seek to achieve its objective by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of global equities that have attractive growth potential as more particularly described below. There can be no guarantee that the Fund's objectives will be achieved. In pursuing its objectives, the Investment Manager shall seek out opportunities that in its opinion offer the best opportunities for capital and dividend growth, provided the securities satisfy the Investment Manager's investment process described below. The Fund will invest in equities from all over the world and from a broad range of market capitalisations. Other than permitted investments in unlisted securities and financial derivative instruments the Fund's investments will be limited to markets listed in Appendix II of the Prospectus.

Tim joined Gartmore in 1997 and is now Head of UK Income and Growth Funds since1995.The retail trusts he manages include Gartmore: UK Growth&Income Fund, Income Fund and a range of investment trusts.Before that he worked for Prolific as an income fund manager and as the head of smaller companies He started his City career in 1985 working for Bekhor and Quilter Goodson before joining Credit Suisse in 1987 and transferring to the unit trust teams in 1988 to run income and smaller company funds.

James qualified as a Barrister and joined Smith Keen Cutler in 1982 as an engineering analyst before moving to Quilter Goodison as a pan-European Technology analyst. In 1988 he joined James Capel in specialist sales for technology and capital goods companies, and in 1995 became Head of UK and European Sales for James Capel. In 1998 James moved to Salomon Smith Barney as Global Head of Sales for European Cash Equity Products. In November 2003 he established Man Securities, which was a research-based, conflicts free European institutional agency cash equities business. Man Securities was absorbed into MF Global prior to MF Global's listing on the NYSE. James was appointed CEO for MF Global Europe in 2009, a position he held until the end of 2010. James became CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald in November 2011, playing a key role in the turnaround of the business following the financial crisis. He was responsible for equities, equity derivatives, fixed income, corporate finance and both equity and fixed income trading. The acquisition of Seymour Pierce was pivotal to this transformation. In 2016 James co-founded Vermeer Investment Management Ltd, where he has taken the role of CEO.
