To provide positive returns (a combination of capital and income) over a 5 year period. The Fund will seek to achieve its objective by investing in a portfolio of stocks that is, at times, concentrated (approximately 30–60 holdings). The Fund is not constrained by allocation limits and may invest up to 100% in such stocks. Typically, 50% to 80% of assets will be in companies incorporated in Europe (including the UK) and the US, though it may also invest in firms headquartered or quoted outside these regions if listed on developed exchanges. The Fund may also invest in other equities, fixed interest securities (mainly US Treasury Bills, government and investment grade corporate bonds), gold and silver via indirect exposure, collective investment schemes, money market instruments, cash, deposits, and warrants. At times, a substantial proportion may be held in cash, near cash or money market instruments.
