Investment objective
The Sub-Fund seeks to deliver positive returns on a rolling 3 year basis after fees. The Sub-Fund aims to deliver positive returns before fees within a range of cash (SONIA (30-day compounded)) on a rolling 3 year basis and cash (SONIA (30-day compounded)) + 4% per annum on a rolling 5 year basis. The Sub-Fund is actively managed as a multi-asset fund that will invest predominantly, meaning at least 75%, in a portfolio of UK and international securities across a broad diversified range of asset classes. At least 70% of the Sub-Fund’s NAV will meet the Investment Manager’s sustainability characteristics.

Lead fund manager biography
Nick is a portfolio manager, leading on the global, international and US sustainable strategies.
He joined Newton in 2011 as part of the global research team, where he was the analyst responsible for the insurance, real estate and asset management sectors. Nick moved across to the portfolio management team in 2021 to co-lead manage the Asian Income strategy, while also contributing his experience in analysing financial stocks to the wider global income investment process. He assumed responsibility for the sustainable strategies in 2022.
Prior to joining Newton in 2011, he acquired a range of experience across the industry, auditing insurers at Ernst & Young and as a European insurance equity analyst at Jefferies International.
Nick is a chartered accountant, and holds a first-class honours degree in Microbiology from the University of Edinburgh.
Outside of work, Nick has a young family and, in the unlikely event he finds extra time alongside this, he is a keen golfer and beleaguered supporter of Tottenham Hotspur football club.
