Our view

Alice Logue
Research Analyst

The Fidelity Global Special Situations Fund is managed by Jeremy Podger. It aims to achieve long term capital growth from a portfolio primarily made up of the shares of companies around the world.

This Fidelity Global Special Situations Fund will have a blend of investments in larger, medium and smaller sized companies.

Podger looks for three types of outstanding investments: those which represent "exceptional value"; high quality companies with strong competitive advantages, and firms whose prices are set to change significantly in the short-term because the company is merging with, acquiring, or spinning off another entity. This three-pronged approach diversifies the Global Specials Situation Fund portfolio and positions it to perform well throughout the entire market cycle.
