Investment objective

The fund aims to pay you an income that is at least 50% more than the income produced by the companies included in the FTSE All-Share (Gross Total Return) Index. The fund also has the potential to increase the value of your investment.

Our view

Michael Clark uses a ‘covered call’ strategy to deliver income beyond what is offered by the FTSE All Share Index.
In building the portfolio, Clark follows the same time-tested approach as that of the Fidelity MoneyBuilder Dividend Fund, which he also manages. His primary concern is providing ‘Safety of Income at a Reasonable Price’, or SIRP.
This manifests itself in a preference for undervalued, high quality businesses which not only pay strong dividends, but also grow them from year to year. Read more.
