Investment objective
The Fund’s primary aim is to generate an income that is higher than that of the FTSE All-Share Index, together with investment growth over a three to five-year period after all fees and costs are deducted. The Fund invests at least two thirds (but typically significantly more) in the shares of companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. These companies are incorporated/domiciled in the UK or which have significant business operations in the UK. Typically, the number of holdings in the Fund will vary between 40 to 60 company shares and most of these will be the shares of large (such as those making up the FTSE 100 Index) companies. The Investment Manager does not intend to invest in every company in the FTSE All-Share Index and have the freedom to invest up to 10% of the Fund’s assets outside of it.

Our view

person-circle-filled

Why we like the fund: This fund invests primarily in companies listed in the UK, although it may invest smaller amounts into companies listed outside the UK too. Based in Leeds, the team is committed to UK equity investing, which is rare as most investment firms have reduced UK equity resourcing and focus more on global investing. The team members are seasoned UK managers and have strong experience finding companies that can pay sustainable and growing dividends, which suits this fund. How to use the fund: This fund can be helpful for clients seeking dividend income from companies primarily listed in the UK. Like any equity fund, it is higher risk and may be subject to fairly substantial but hopefully transitory drawdowns. Investors will need a long-term view of ten years or more.
