Investment objective

The Fund aims to provide income and capital growth in excess of the MSCI World (Net Total Return) Index (after fees have been deducted) over a three to five year period by investing in equity and equity related securities of companies worldwide. The Fund is actively managed and invests at least 80% of its assets in equity and equity related securities that (1) offer capital growth and income; and (2) of companies worldwide which offer sustainable dividend payments. The Fund seeks to invest in a diversified portfolio of equity and equity related securities whose dividend yield in aggregate is greater than the average market yield. Equities with below average dividend yield may be included in the portfolio when the investment manager considers that they have the potential to pay above average income in future.

Simon Adler is a fund manager and head of Schroders Global Value team who manage income, recovery and sustainable strategies across five geographies: UK, European, Global, International and Emerging Markets. Simon co-manages Global Recovery, Global Income, Global Sustainable and International Value strategies. He joined the Global Value team in July 2016 to manage portfolios. His investment career commenced in 2008 at Schroders as a UK equity analyst. He was previously sector analyst responsible for Chemicals, Media, Transport, Travel & Leisure and Utilities. He was a Global Sustainability Specialist in Global Equity team until 2016. Qualifications: CFA Charterholder; MA in Politics, Edinburgh University

He previously moved to Merian Global Investors (formerly Old Mutual Global Investors) in 2015 as an equity analyst/fund manager. Qualifications: CFA Charterholder; Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Durham University."
