Investment objective

The objective of the Company is to provide capital growth in excess of SONIA + 2%, net of fees, over the long-term, being five years. Five years is also the minimum recommended period for holding shares in this Company. This does not mean that the Company will achieve the objective over this, or any other, specific time period and there is a risk of loss to the original capital invested. The Investment Manager aims to achieve the objective of the Company by investing indirectly in a broad range of asset classes including real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy, commodities (such as gold, oil and timber), private equity, hedge funds and specialist financial assets (such as loans and insurance policies).

Nick Greenwood is the Fund Manager of MIGO Opportunities Trust. He joined Asset Value Investors from Premier Miton in October 2023. He began his career in private client stock broking and was a founder member of Christows stockbroking operation in 1991. He joined the Christows Investment Trust team setting up their London office in 1995 and became lead manager in November 1997. Nick subsequently joined Premier Miton.

Charlotte joined AVI in July 2023 as a Fund Manager and is co-manager of the MIGO Opportunities Trust. Charlotte has 8 years’ experience in the finance industry, with the last 5 years specialising in investment trusts. Prior to AVI she worked at Tyndall Investment Management and Premier Miton Plc. She holds a BA in Modern History from St Anne’s College, Oxford.
