Investment objective

The Fund aims to deliver a higher total return (the combination of capital growth and income) than the Deutsche Numis Smaller Companies Index (excluding Investment Companies), net of the Ongoing Charge Figure, over any five year period. At least 80% of the Fund is invested in UK smaller companies.

Lead fund manager biography

James Taylor joined M&G in 2014 as a graduate, before becoming an analyst with the Income team in January 2016. Two years later, he moved to the UK Equities team. James started taking over fund management responsibilities in August 2019. He graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Business Administration, and is a CFA charterholder.
