Investment objective
To generate growth over the long term (5 years or more) by investing in global equities (company shares) that manage adverse environmental impacts and promote societal welfare in one or more of the four thematic areas of – climate change, the environment, labour management, and human rights & stakeholders, through their business operations OR their products and services. The fund will invest at least 70% in equities and equity related securities of companies listed on global stock exchanges that align with the sustainability objective.

Kurt Cruickshank is a Senior Investment Director at Aberdeen and sits on the Global & International Equity portfolio construction group. Kurt joined the company in September 2008 as a graduate on the Pan European Equity team. He spent a decade as generalist research analyst, later specialising in Industrials research. From 2015 to 2023, Kurt was focused on running European equity portfolios, before adding responsibility for International equity mandates in early 2023. In September 2024, Kurt joined the new Global Equity & International Equity portfolio construction group, which brings together Aberdeen's quality and sustainable strategies across Global and International equities. Kurt graduated with an MA in Economics and Law from the University of Edinburgh and is a CFA Charterholder.

Jamie Mills O’Brien is an Investment Director in the Developed Markets Equities Team at abrdn and is co-manager on the Global and US Sustainable equity funds and the Global Innovation fund. Jamie is also the global sector research lead for Technology. Jamie joined the company on the graduate scheme in 2015 after completing an internship. Jamie holds an MA in History from the University of St Andrews and is a CFA Charterholder. Jamie holds an MA in History from the University of St Andrews, and gained a distinction from BPP in the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course.
