FTSE 100 movers: Software stocks rally; miners in the red

(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 100 was up 0.3% at 10,391.13 in afternoon trade on Friday. There wasn't much happening on the top-flight index, but software-related stocks were the standout gainers, benefiting from souring sentiment over AI valuations. LSEG, Experian, Rightmove, Autotrader, Pearson and Relx all advanced.

On the downside, safety equipment firm Halma fell ahead of full-year results next week.

Precious metals miner Fresnillo and miners Anglo American, Glencore and Antofagasta also lost ground.
