Wednesday preview: Global factory PMIs, US ADP report in the spotlight
(Sharecast News) - Investor focus in the middle of the week will be a raft of manufacturing sector surveys due put around the world. Foremost in importance among them will be that from the Institute for Supply Management in the US, at 1500 BST, covering the month of September.
Also in the US, at 1315 BST consultancy ADP will publish its survey of private sector payrolls.
On home shores meanwhile, at 0930 BST, S&P Global will release the results of its Purchasing Manager Index referencing that same month.
Comparable survey results are due out earlier during the same session in Japan and the euro area.
Overnight, Nationwide will publish its House Price Index for September.
The ongoing stalemate on Capitol Hill won't be far from investors' minds either, as they attempt to gauge the duration of any US federal government shutdown.
