Wednesday preview: Fed meeting minutes, UK public sector net borrowing in focus

(Sharecast News) - All eyes on Wednesday will be on the release of the minutes of the Federal Reserve's last policy meeting.

Deliberations at the meeting did not have the benefit of the most recent weaker-than-expected non-farm payrolls numbers that had caused so much concern on Wall Street.

Nevertheless, they might provide some insight as to rate-setters' thinking.

At 1700 BST meanwhile, the US Treasury was scheduled to hold an auction of 20-year debt.

Earlier, at 0600 BST, the Office for National Statistics would publish public sector net borrowing figures for July.
