Wednesday preview: Central banks, Fed minutes in focus
(Sharecast News) - Investor focus in the middle of the week will continue to be on central banks, especially the US Federal Reserve. In particular, the minutes of the Fed's most recent policy meeting are due at 1900 BST.
They will come alongside a sprinkling of Fed speakers scheduled for throughout the afternoon.
The results of the latest auction of 10-year US treasuries, at 1900 BST, may also prove to be a talking point.
In the UK, the minutes of the Financial Policy Committee's last meeting will be released at 1130 BST.
Bank of England chief economist will deliver a speech at 1600 BST, followed by European Central Bank president Christine Lagarde at 1700 BST.
Across the Channel, German industrial production data for August will come out at 0700 BST.
Overnight, rate-setters in New Zealand will meet to decide on interest rates.
