Tuesday preview: UK employment, Chinese foreign trade in focus
(Sharecast News) - Investors' focus on Tuesday will be on the latest UK employment data. At 0600 BST the Office for National Statistics is expected to announce that the rate of unemployment ticked lower by a tenth of a percentage point over the three months to July to reach 4.1%.
Average earnings growth, excluding bonuses, is expected to slow to a year-on-year pace of 5.1% after the 5.4% seen in June.
In the background, China's general customs bureau will release foreign trade data for August.
Stateside, at 1000 BST the National Federation of Independent Business will publish the results of its monthly survey of business conditions.
